Distressed Officer Fund of the
Tri-County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3
The Tri-County FOP Distressed Officer Fund is a tax-deductible 501(c)(3) charitable organization established by the membership of Fraternal Order of Police Tri-County Lodge #3 in 2001 to provide critical financial support directly to law enforcement officers who suffer extraordinary tragedies in the line of duty or outside the line of duty. The Fraternal Order of Police Tri-County Lodge #3 is a professional law enforcement organization that has been serving the badge-wearing men and woman of the lowcountry for over 40 years.
The fund assists officers within the established chartered boundaries of Tri-County Lodge #3 and they do not have to be members of the Fraternal Order of Police to receive assistance. Since its formation, our lodge has given thousands of dollars to assist officers in a time of need. Our assistance has ranged from incidents involving line of duty deaths to officers who have lost their homes in fires.
Unlike some charities, the Tri-County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3 Distressed Officer Fund is specific and incurs no administrative expenses that eat into the contribution. Every penny goes to the purpose of the fund – helping cops in need.
