Kentucky Fried ChickenThis evening I was contacted by Seenu Kasturi, the owner of Star Brands 2, which owns all Charleston area Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant franchises.

Mr. Kasturi received my letter today regarding the incident that occurred on August 31, 2015 to one of our Fraternal Order of Police members at his Goose Creek location.

Mr. Kasturi is not local and lives in Lafayette, Louisiana. He explained to me that after learning of the incident, he investigated it, and as a result, the employee in question, a 16 year old female was terminated from Kentucky Fried Chicken.

He apologized profusely to me and explained that this type of behavior is unacceptable and that he will ensure that employees will receive additional training to ensure another incident like this does not happen again. He went on to say that he was a supporter of law enforcement and that he has multiple friends that are law enforcement officers.

Tomorrow, he will be calling our lodge member to convey his personal apologies. He is also drafting a letter to the Fraternal Order of Police and upon receipt, I will share with all.
