I. LEGISLATIVE NEWS AND ACTIVITY

National President Chuck Canterbury was in Nashville, TN this week to preside over the 63rd National Biennial Conference as well as the pre- and post-conference board meetings.  Chuck Canterbury was re-elected as National President for his 8th term.

National Vice President Jay McDonald and National Secretary Pat Yoes were also re-elected and Keith Turney was elected as National Sergeant-at-Arms.

National Second Vice President Les Neri and National Treasurer Tom Penoza were unopposed.

Rob Pride of Colorado was elected as Chairman of the National Board of Trustees.

II.  THIS WEEK IN CONGRESS
Both chambers of Congress are in August Recess. Legislative business will resume after Labor Day.
